Partner code of conduct
We work with partners who share our standards. This code sets out what we expect of you, and of everyone in your organisation who works with us, for us or with our customers.
It applies to every partner: resellers, referral and implementation partners, agencies, consultants and suppliers. If your agreement with us says more about any of these points, follow both. If you are not sure what a point means for your work, ask your partner manager.
Act honestly and lawfully
- Follow the law wherever you work with us.
- Be honest in what you say about us and our products. Use our current materials, and do not make promises on our behalf that we have not agreed to.
- Keep accurate records of your work with us, including what you charge and what you pay.
- Keep records that show how you follow this code, and answer our reasonable questions about it.
No bribery or corruption
A company can be responsible for a bribe paid by someone working on its behalf, so we take this seriously.
- Do not offer, give, ask for or accept a bribe, directly or through anyone else. This includes facilitation payments: small payments to speed up routine official actions.
- Keep any gifts and hospitality connected with our work modest and occasional, and do not give or accept cash. Do not give anything to a public official on our behalf.
- Tell us at once if anyone asks you for a bribe in connection with our work.
Avoid conflicts of interest
Tell us about anything that could make it hard for you to act fairly in your work with us: for example, a family member in our team, or an interest in a competitor that affects your work for us. Do not use what you learn through working with us for your own benefit or for another client.
Protect information
- Keep our confidential information, and our customers' information, confidential. Use it only for your work with us.
- If you handle personal data for us, follow our written instructions and data protection law, keep it secure, and tell us within 24 hours of finding a breach.
- Keep our information in systems with sensible security, such as strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and limit access to the people who need it.
- When our work together ends, return or delete our information, as we ask.
Our systems and AI tools
- If you have access to our systems, use only the accounts we give you, keep them to the people we agreed, and do not share sign-in details.
- Tell us at once about any security incident that could affect us or our customers.
- If you use AI tools in your work for us, do not put our confidential information or personal data into them unless we have agreed, and check everything they produce before you use it.
Subcontractors
Do not pass any of our work to a subcontractor without our written agreement. If we agree, make sure the subcontractor follows this code, and stay responsible for their work.
Treat people fairly and safely
- Treat your people, ours and our customers with respect. Do not harass, bully or discriminate against anyone.
- Pay your people at least the legal minimum wage where they work, and respect their working hours and rest breaks.
- Do not use forced, bonded or child labour, or any form of modern slavery. Expect the same of your own suppliers.
- Provide safe working conditions, and follow site safety rules whenever you are on our premises or a customer's.
Represent us properly
- Use our name, logo and materials only as we have agreed in writing, and only for our work together.
- Describe our products accurately, and tell customers when you are speaking for your own organisation rather than for us.
- Do not speak to journalists about us without our agreement.
Look after the environment
Follow environmental law, and look for ways to cut waste, energy use and unnecessary travel in your work with us.
Raise concerns
Tell us if you see anything in our work together that breaks this code or the law, or that seems wrong. Contact your partner manager, or any of our directors if you would rather not. We will not treat you or your organisation badly for raising a genuine concern.
You can also report wrongdoing to a regulator or another prescribed body.
If this code is not followed
If something goes wrong, we will usually ask you to put it right first. Depending on how serious it is, we may also pause work, end our agreement, or report a crime to the police or a regulator.
