# AI tools

Read these docs as Markdown, give them to a model with llms.txt, or connect an agent to the docs MCP server.

Every page here is also plain Markdown, for coding assistants and agents. None of these tools needs an API key, and none of them can read company data.

## Markdown pages

* Add `.md` to any page's address: [/quickstart.md](https://docs.kapiworks.com/quickstart.md). The home page is [/index.md](https://docs.kapiworks.com/index.md).
* Or ask for Markdown with `Accept: text/markdown`:

```sh
curl -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://docs.kapiworks.com/guides/sync
```

* **Copy page**, at the top of every page, copies its Markdown.

## llms.txt

* [/llms.txt](https://docs.kapiworks.com/llms.txt) lists every page with a one-line description, following [llmstxt.org](https://llmstxt.org/).
* [/llms-full.txt](https://docs.kapiworks.com/llms-full.txt) holds every page in one file.
* The OpenAPI contract at [`https://api.kapiworks.com/v1/openapi.json`](https://api.kapiworks.com/v1/openapi.json) describes every operation for code generators.

## Docs MCP server

The docs have a read-only [MCP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/) server at `https://docs.kapiworks.com/api/mcp`, over streamable HTTP. It needs no sign-in and keeps no session. It has four tools:

| Tool          | What it does                                             |
| ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| `list_pages` | Lists every page with its address. |
| `get_page` | Returns one page as Markdown, by its address. |
| `search`      | Searches the docs.                                       |
| `get_openapi` | Returns the OpenAPI contract these docs were built from. |

To add it to Claude Code:

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http kapi-works-docs https://docs.kapiworks.com/api/mcp
```

Other clients take the same address as a streamable HTTP server.
